Exclusive practical insights

LMT was able to work in partnership for the practical presentations with Liebherr-Verzahntechnik, Meissner AG, K.R. Pfiffner and WEEKE Bohrsysteme. In transmissions of 15 minutes each, visitors to the exhibition stand and to the website were able to get exclusive insights into the world of metal and plastic maschining. The manufacture of a large gear wheel, the application of thread rolling heads on a rotary transfer machine, the cutting of complex geometries in die and mold making, and the machining of plastics and composite materials were amongst the topics on show.

An attractive program on the stand, including specialized lectures and discussions

Specialized lectures from Professor Dr. Rüdiger Haas from the Hochschule Technik und Wirtschaft (College of Technology and Commerce) in Karlsruhe and Dr Eckehard Kalhöfer from the Hochschule Aalen für Technik und Wirtschaft (Aalen College of Technology and Commerce) and an expert round-table discussion on the "Opportunities for Growth for (German) Tool Manufacturers" were the highlights of the program on the stand. The participants in the round-table discussion were Prof. Dr. Frank Barthelmä, Managing Director of GFE (Gesellschaft für Fertigungstechnik und Entwicklung Schmalkalden e. V.), Lothar Horn, Managing Director of Paul Horn GmbH and Chairman of the Precision Tools Association within VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e. V., German Machine and Plant Constructors Association), Dr. Wolfgang Sengebusch, Managing Director of VDMA Precision Tools Association, and Dr. Michael Heinrich, Managing Director of the LMT Group. The recorded transmissions are now available online at http://lmt.e-convention.net/
